It seems that good works should
 Confer immunity to disappointment,
 Yet as the good still die young,
 Noble endeavors also expire
 Before their mission is complete.
 We must trust that with closure
 Also comes opportunity.
 That our shared gifts will always
 Find a place to make a difference.
