It would be so comforting to have the faith
to put everything in Gods hands
but I don’t have that faith
It would be so reassuring if I believed
the stars and planets could tell me what will be
but I don’t share that belief
It would be empowering to have the strength
to force my world to mold to my needs
but I don’t have that strength
If it isn’t in Gods hands
If it isn’t ordained by the planets
If strength can’t force the world to bend to me
I’m left with living my life and accepting
I am enough

I have looked to others for their faith, their belief, their strength
but discovered all that really matters is my heart…
